CDIL is a non-governmental organization with consultative status with the United Nations (UN) ECOSOC consultative status. CDIL advocates increasing the application of international law to individuals. CDIL also works to further the awareness of the interdependence between international and local laws and initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>\u200bCDIL engages in collaborative work and dialogue with a variety of peace organizations, including the Hague Appeal for Peace, Center for UN Reform Education, The World Federalist Movement-Institute for Global Policy, The Coalition for the International Criminal Court, and the Together for a Better Peace Project.
